So, today it begins... Well, it actually began on Tuesday, but today we'll be taking the dive into the world beyond school.
On Tuesday, Maria Galanis and I started preparing the students to blog using a Paper Blogging assignment where students respond to a question on a half sheet of paper, tape the half sheet up in the room, and then other students write responses on post-its. The purpose of the activity was to get students to think about content (titles, tone, etc.), response (continuing the conversation), and audience (anyone can read what you've written).
Today, we finish the exercise on paper and go online so students can blog about how they are getting others to change the world in real, meaningful ways. While the paper blogging assignment didn't need any technology, this next step is nothing but technology.
